Every child, every chance

Osceola County’s student population is beautifully diverse. Our kids come from different countries, different languages, different family situations, and different life experiences. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and it also means that a one-size-fits-all approach to education will always leave someone behind.

When I look at the achievement data in our district, I don’t see inevitable outcomes. I see places where we have not yet done enough. I see students who are capable of far more than our systems have asked of them. And I see families who want more for their children and don’t always know how to access it. That is not a student problem. That is a system problem, and it is fixable.

What I Will Fight For:

• Targeted, data-driven interventions that identify struggling students early and connect them with the right support before they fall too far behind
• Equitable resource distribution across schools, so that a student’s zip code doesn’t determine the quality of their education
• Strong support for English language learners and multilingual families, with culturally responsive instruction and accessible communication
• Better IEP and special education services, ensuring students with disabilities receive the individualized support the law guarantees them
• High expectations for every student, combined with the wraparound supports that make meeting those expectations possible

Closing the achievement gap is not about lowering the bar. It’s about removing the obstacles that were never supposed to be there in the first place. Every child in District 3 deserves a real chance, not just the ones whose families know how to navigate the system. I will be the board member who fights for all of them.
