READY FOR WHAT'S NEXT
“A diploma should open a door. My job is to make sure every student knows what’s on the other side.” — Alyssa Noel
READY FOR WHAT'S NEXT
A diploma should mean something. I’m committed to ensuring every student in District 3 graduates with a real plan whether that’s college, enlistment, a trade, entrepreneurship, or the workforce. Future readiness isn’t a program. It’s a promise we make to every child.
Osceola County is one of the most diverse, dynamic communities in Florida. Our students reflect that diversity, in their backgrounds, their ambitions, and the futures they’re working toward. Our school system should reflect it too.
For too long, ‘college readiness’ has been treated as the only measure of a good education. But a student who graduates and enters a skilled trade, launches a business, earns an industry certification, or joins the military has been just as well-served by their schools, if those schools actually prepared them. The question isn’t which path. The question is: did we give every student a real one?
What I Will Fight For:
- Stronger partnerships with Osceola businesses, trade organizations, and post-secondary institutions so students can job shadow, intern, and connect while still in school
- Career and college counseling that starts in middle school, not just senior year when options are already limited
- Life skills programming, financial literacy, communication, professional readiness, so students are prepared for the world, not just the next grade level
- FAFSA completion support and college access resources for first-generation students and families who need a guide through the process
Every student in District 3 deserves to walk across that graduation stage with more than a diploma. They deserve a direction. I will work to make sure our schools give them both.
