Meet Alyssa Noel
Mother. Therapist. School Safety Committee Member. SAC Chair. Candidate for Osceola County District 3 School Board.
I have skin in this game.
I didn’t come to this race as a politician. I came as a parent who has sat in school meetings, raised concerns, navigated the system, and felt more than once like family voices weren’t making it to the decision-making table. I know I’m not alone in that. And that’s exactly why I’m running.
Parent of Osceola County public school students
School Advisory Council Chair
Master's Degree: Marriage & Family Therapy
Osceola County School Safety Committee Member
My children are in Osceola County’s public schools right now. I’m not advocating from a distance or speaking in abstractions. Every decision this school board makes lands in my home, at my kitchen table, in conversations with my kids about their day.
That proximity isn’t just personal, it’s professional. As a School Advisory Council Chair, I’ve been in the rooms where school decisions get made. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and where families consistently get left out of the conversation. I’ve asked the hard questions on behalf of parents who didn’t know they could. And I’ve learned that the most powerful thing a parent can do is stay in the room and keep talking.
I’m running because I believe every family in District 3 deserves a board member who understands what it’s actually like to be a parent in our schools. Not in theory. In practice.
